On January 28, 2026, 1:30 p.m., in Meeting Room 5102, the Academic and Research Laboratory Building (Vejchavichakarn Building), Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, Associate Professor Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, MD, President of Khon Kaen University, together with Professor Pewpan Maleewong, MD, Vice President for Research and Innovation, paid a visit to the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute (CARI), Khon Kaen University. The purpose of the visit was to exchange perspectives, discuss operational approaches, and drive the advancement of the Institute’s research activities in alignment with the University’s strategic directions.
This visit emphasized the communication of the University’s policies and strategic directions in research and innovation, while promoting the enhancement of researchers’ capacity, the integration of knowledge, and the translation of research outcomes into tangible commercial and social applications. These efforts aim to generate measurable and sustainable long-term impacts.
On this occasion, Associate Professor Watcharin Loilome, PhD, Director of the CARI, together with faculty members, researchers, and staff, extended a warm welcome to the President and his delegation. The Institute also presented an overview of its operations, highlighted key research achievements, and engaged in constructive discussions and exchanges of recommendations aimed at enhancing Khon Kaen University’s research capabilities toward excellence at both national and international levels.
