The President of Khon Kaen University, together with the executive administrator, conducted an on-site visit to the Institute for Research and Development in Teaching Profession for ASEAN (IRDTP for ASEAN) to advance research initiatives in alignment with the University’s strategic goals.

On February 2, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., in Room 1201, 2nd Floor, Building 1, at the Institute for Research and Development in Teaching Profession for ASEAN (IRDTP for ASEAN), Khon Kaen University, Associate Professor Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, MD, President of Khon Kaen University, together with Professor Pewpan Maleewong, MD, Vice President for Research and Innovation, paid an official visit to the Institute. The purpose of the visit was to exchange perspectives, discuss operational approaches, and enhance the advancement of the Institute’s research activities in accordance with the University’s strategic direction.

The visit focused on communicating Khon Kaen University’s policies and strategic directions in research and innovation, alongside the promotion of researcher capacity building, interdisciplinary knowledge integration, and the translation of research outcomes into commercial and societal applications. These efforts are intended to generate tangible and sustainable long-term impacts.
On this occasion, Assistant Professor Phongthanat Sae-joo, PhD, Director of the Institute, together with Assistant Professor Sakowduen Sathum, PhD, Deputy Director, and Associate Professor Maitree Inprasitha, PhD, Senior Researcher, along with faculty members, researchers, and staff of the Institute, warmly welcomed the delegation. The Institute also presented an overview of its operations and highlighted key research achievements, while engaging in constructive discussions and providing recommendations to further enhance Khon Kaen University’s research capacity toward excellence at both national and international levels.
