มข.เปิดอบรมจรรยาบรรณการใช้สัตว์ทดลอง เสริมความรู้สู่มาตรฐานงานวิจัยที่มีคุณภาพ

     The Vice President for Research and Innovation of Khon Kaen University, Professor Pewpan Maleewong, MD, presided over the opening ceremony of the academic training program entitled “Ethical Principles for the Use and Care of Animals in Science” on Friday, March 27, 2026.  The event was held at Sirikunakorn 3 Meeting Room, Sirikunakorn Building, Office of the President, Khon Kaen University, starting from 8:00 a.m. onwards.     The event was jointly organized by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of Khon Kaen University (IACUC-KKU) (คณะกรรมการกำกับดูแลการดำเนินการต่อสัตว์เพื่องานทางวิทยาศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น: คกส.มข.)  and the Supervision and Monitoring on Animal Care and Use Center (SuMoACUC-KKU) under the Research and Innovation Affairs, Khon Kaen University.

     รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิจัยและนวัตกรรม มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ศ.ผิวพรรณ มาลีวงษ์ ให้เกียรติเป็นประธานเปิดการอบรมหัวข้อ “จรรยาบรรณการดำเนินการต่อสัตว์เพื่องานทางวิทยาศาสตร์ (Ethical Principles for the Use and Care of Animals in Science)” เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 27 มีนาคม 2569 ณ ห้องประชุมสิริคุณากร 3 อาคารสิริคุณากร สำนักงานอธิการบดี มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ตั้งแต่เวลา 08.00 น. เป็นต้นไป จัดโดย คกส.มข. และ ศูนย์กำกับดูแลการดำเนินการต่อสัตว์เพื่องานทางวิทยาศาสตร์ ฝ่ายวิจัยและนวัตกรรม มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น

     The objective of this training program was to promote knowledge, understanding, and proper ethical practices in the use of animals for scientific purposes, which serve as a fundamental basis for conducting high-quality research in accordance with internationally recognized ethical standards and regulatory frameworks.

     การอบรมครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมความรู้ ความเข้าใจ และการปฏิบัติที่ถูกต้องตามหลักจริยธรรมในการใช้สัตว์เพื่องานทางวิทยาศาสตร์ อันเป็นพื้นฐานสำคัญของการดำเนินงานวิจัยให้มีคุณภาพ มาตรฐาน และสอดคล้องกับแนวทางสากล

     On this occasion, Professor Kanokwan Jarukamjorn, PhD, Chairperson of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of Khon Kaen University (IACUC-KKU) and Director of the Supervision and Monitoring on Animal Care and Use Center (SuMoACUC-KKU), reported that the program aims to equip university personnel and members of the public who intend to conduct scientific procedures involving animals with a correct and ethical understanding of animal use.    Furthermore, the program aims to cultivate heightened awareness of relevant legal requirements, as well as procedural mechanisms for obtaining ethical approval for animal care and use in research, thereby ensuring that all research activities are conducted in strict adherence to legal, ethical, and international standards.

     โอกาสนี้ ศ.กนกวรรณ จารุกำจร ประธานคณะกรรมการกำกับดูแลการดำเนินการต่อสัตว์เพื่องานทางวิทยาศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น และผู้อำนวยการศูนย์กำกับดูแลการดำเนินการต่อสัตว์เพื่องานทางวิทยาศาสตร์ ได้กล่าวรายงานถึงวัตถุประสงค์ของการจัดกิจกรรมว่า มุ่งหมายให้ผู้ปฏิบัติงานของมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นและบุคคลทั่วไปที่ประสงค์ดำเนินการต่อสัตว์เพื่องานทางวิทยาศาสตร์ มีความรู้ความเข้าใจในหลักจรรยาบรรณการใช้สัตว์เพื่องานทางวิทยาศาสตร์อย่างถูกต้อง เหมาะสม และมีคุณธรรม รวมทั้งตระหนักถึงข้อกฎหมายและขั้นตอนการขอรับการพิจารณาจรรยาบรรณการเลี้ยงและใช้สัตว์เพื่องานทางวิทยาศาสตร์ เพื่อให้การดำเนินงานเป็นไปอย่างมีคุณภาพ เป็นไปตามกฏหมายที่เกี่ยวข้องและมาตรฐานสากล

     The operations of the IACUC-KKU and SuMoACUC-KKU, under the supervision of the Research and Innovation Affairs, represent a pivotal institutional mechanism for reinforcing legal and ethical governance in research involving animals.   These efforts enhance the credibility and quality of research outputs and advance Khon Kaen University’s research ecosystem toward sustained alignment with global standards and best practices.

     การดำเนินงานของ คกส.มข. และศูนย์กำกับดูแลการดำเนินการต่อสัตว์เพื่องานทางวิทยาศาสตร์ ภายใต้การกำกับดูแลของฝ่ายวิจัยและนวัตกรรม นับเป็นบทบาทสำคัญในการสนับสนุนให้งานวิจัยของมหาวิทยาลัยดำเนินไปอย่างมีมาตรฐาน ตามหลักจริยธรรมและกฎหมาย พร้อมทั้งช่วยเสริมความน่าเชื่อถือและคุณภาพของผลงานวิจัย และสนับสนุนการพัฒนามาตรฐานการวิจัยของมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นให้ก้าวสู่ระดับสากลอย่างมั่นคง
