On April 9–10, 2026, Khon Kaen University, led by Associate Professor Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, MD, President of the University, together with Professor Pewpan Maleewong, MD, Vice President for Research and Innovation, and Professor Thidarut Boonmars, DVM, PhD, Vice President for Enterprise and Societal Sustainability, extended a warm welcome to the executive delegation from Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI).  Professor Suthipun Jitpimolmard, MD, FRCP (Lond), Advisor to TSRI, was also in attendance.

     Professor Vissanu Meeyoo, PhD, Vice President of TSRI, stated that the visit aimed to monitor the progress of projects supported under the Fundamental Fund (FF) and to further enhance the effective and tangible utilization of research outputs (RU).

     Professor Pewpan Maleewong presented an overview of the University’s research funding, along with key innovations in food, health, and energy.

     On April 10, 2026, at the KKU Science Park, Dr. Apirachai Wongsriworapol, Director of the Khon Kaen University Science Park (KKUSP), delivered a welcome address and presented the Science Park’s operational achievements. This was followed by a visit to pilot plant facilities and initiatives aimed at translating research outcomes into practical applications for the community and industry.

     This visit underscores Khon Kaen University’s strategic commitment to transforming research “from shelf to market,” thereby generating sustainable economic and social impact.
