On 16 July 2026, Professor Pewpan Maleewong, MD, Vice President for Research and Innovation at Khon Kaen University, participated in the Thailand-UK Voices of Impact: Inspiring Women in STEM event, jointly organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) and the British Embassy Bangkok. The event was held at Centara Grand at Central World, Bangkok.

     เมื่อวันที่ 16 กรกฎาคม 2569 ศาสตราจารย์ แพทย์หญิงผิวพรรณ มาลีวงษ์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิจัยและนวัตกรรม มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น เข้าร่วมงาน **Thailand-UK Voices of Impact: Inspiring Women in STEM** ซึ่งจัดโดยกระทรวงการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรม (อว.) ร่วมกับสถานเอกอัครราชทูตสหราชอาณาจักรประจำประเทศไทย ณ โรงแรมเซ็นทาราแกรนด์ แอท เซ็นทรัลเวิลด์ กรุงเทพมหานคร

The event aimed to strengthen collaboration between Thailand and the United Kingdom in higher education, science, research, and innovation while promoting the role of women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). It also sought to advance the translation of research into policy, as well as economic and societal benefits, thereby enhancing Thailand’s national competitiveness.

     การจัดงานมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรมระหว่างประเทศไทยและสหราชอาณาจักร พร้อมยกระดับบทบาทของสตรีในสาขา STEM และผลักดันการนำผลงานวิจัยไปใช้ประโยชน์เชิงนโยบาย เศรษฐกิจ และสังคม เพื่อเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของประเทศ

The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Yodchanan Wongsawat, PhD, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. Distinguished experts and leaders from Thailand and the United Kingdom participated in discussions on strategies for maximizing the impact of research, with a particular focus on translating research outcomes into evidence-based policymaking, innovation development, and improvements in the quality of life for society.

     ภายในงานได้รับเกียรติจากศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ยศชนัน วงศ์สวัสดิ์ รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรม เป็นประธานเปิดงาน พร้อมด้วยผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิจากประเทศไทยและสหราชอาณาจักรร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองเกี่ยวกับการสร้างผลกระทบจากงานวิจัย โดยเน้นการต่อยอดองค์ความรู้สู่การกำหนดนโยบาย การพัฒนานวัตกรรม และการยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของประชาชน
