About the Program
Funding to support research projects focused on infections and immunity. Research we fund includes discovery research relating to the following areas:
▪ human pathogens
▪ immune-mediated disease and
multimorbidity
▪ immunology and inflammation
▪ epidemiology and transmission
▪ vaccines
▪ biomarkers and diagnostics
▪ therapeutics
▪ antimicrobial resistance
▪ chronic Infections
▪ co-infection
Funding Available:
There is no limit to the funding you can apply for, but it should be appropriate to the project. We will usually fund up to 80% of your project’s full economic cost.
Program Duration:
3 – 5 Years
Eligibility
You must be employed by a research organisation eligible to apply for Medical Research Council (MRC) funding. You can involve more than one research group or organisation in the project
