About the Program
Institute of Agricultural Environment and Sources, Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Science (YAAS), is a provincial scientific research institute which focuses on the basic theories and applied technologies of plant protection, soil fertilizer and agricultural environmental resources. Specifically, The Research Institute focuses on sustainable prevention and control of main pests in crops, early warning and control of invasive pests, research and application of new pesticides from biological sources, discovery and application of disease resistance traits of main crops, research and development of environmentally friendly fertilizers, efficient utilization of water and fertilizer, comprehensive development and water-saving agriculture in mountainous areas, low-carbon agriculture and recycling agriculture.
