Associate Professor Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, MD, President of Khon Kaen University, together with Professor Pewpan Maleewong, MD, Vice President for Research and Innovation, and the team from the Division of Research Administration, visited the Institute of Nanomaterials Research and Innovation for Energy (IN-RIE), Khon Kaen University, on January 13, 2026. The visit was undertaken to engage in formal discussions and exchange perspectives on institutional operations, as well as to deliberate on strategies for the development of the Institute’s research and innovation activities.
The objectives of the visit were to communicate the University’s policy directions and framework in research and innovation, to ensure that the IN-RIE is fully informed of the guidelines for driving research centers and institutes in alignment with the University’s strategic plan, and to emphasize the enhancement of mechanisms for translating research outcomes into tangible commercial and societal impacts.
On this occasion, Assistant Professor Angkana Boonyued, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Science, and Professor Supree Pinitsoontorn, PhD, Director of the Institute of Nanomaterials Research and Innovation for Energy (IN-RIE), together with faculty members, researchers, and administrative staff of the Institute, welcomed the KKU President and delegates. The IN-RIE also presented an overview of its operations and highlighted key research achievements. This was followed by an exchange of constructive recommendations aimed at further strengthening the University’s research and innovation capacity in the future.
