KKU Hosts “Smart Aging 2025” Conference, Highlighting Longevity Food to Promote Health in an Aging Society

Khon Kaen University (KKU), through its Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, hosted the academic conference “Smart Aging 2025” under the theme Longevity Food: Elevating Thai Health Towards a Long-Lived Society. The event took place on May 27, 2025, at the Auditorium, Science Park, Khon Kaen University, with over 200 participants joining both onsite and online.

มข. จัดประชุมวิชาการ “Smart Aging 2025” ชูแนวคิด Longevity Food ยกระดับสุขภาพคนไทยสู่สังคมอายุยืน ซึ่งจัดโดย คณะเภสัชศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น เมื่อวันที่ 27 พฤษภาคม 2568 ณ ห้องประชุม Auditorium อุทยานวิทยาศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น โดยมีผู้เข้าร่วมทั้งแบบ Onsite และ Online รวมกว่า 200 คน

The opening ceremony was honored by Professor Pewpan Maleewong, MD, Vice President for Research and Innovation at KKU, who presided over the event.  In her remarks, she addressed the ongoing demographic shifts globally and emphasized the critical role of food—not only as one of the basic human needs but also as a vital tool in promoting health and extending life expectancy sustainably.

โดยภายในพิธีเปิดได้รับเกียรติจาก ศาสตราจารย์ พญ. ผิวพรรณ มาลีวงษ์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิจัยและนวัตกรรม มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ให้เกียรติเป็นประธานเปิดงาน พร้อมกล่าวถึงการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางประชากรศาสตร์ที่โลกกำลังเผชิญและเน้นย้ำถึงบทบาทของ “อาหาร” ที่ไม่เพียงเป็นปัจจัยสี่ แต่ยังเป็นเครื่องมือสำคัญในการส่งเสริมสุขภาพและยืดอายุขัยของประชากรอย่างยั่งยืน    

The conference aimed to build collaborative networks and foster knowledge exchange among researchers from diverse disciplines.  It focused on driving sustainable initiatives in Longevity Food in both the short and long term.  The event also supported Thailand’s national strategies on Future Food and the Bioeconomy, serving as a key platform for sharing knowledge, innovations, and modern technologies to promote sustainable health and quality of life in the future.

ซึ่งกิจกรรมนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือ มุ่งสู่การแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ แลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์ร่วมกัน ระหว่างนักวิจัยจากหลากหลายศาสตร์ เพื่อการดำเนินงานด้าน Longevity Food อย่างยั่งยืนทั้งในระยะใกล้ และระยะไกลในอนาคต เพื่อการสนับสนุนยุทธศาสตร์ “อาหารแห่งอนาคต” (Future Food) และ เศรษฐกิจฐานชีวภาพ (Bioeconomy) อันเป็นวาระของชาติ และ เป็นเวทีสำคัญในการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ นวัตกรรม และเทคโนโลยีที่ทันสมัย เพื่อส่งเสริมสุขภาพและคุณภาพชีวิตที่ยั่งยืนในอนาคต
