On February 15, 2022, Prof. Monchai Duangjinda, Ph.D., Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies, together with Asst. Prof.Chanon Lapjit, Ph.D., Head of Cannabis Research Project for Medicine and Related Industries, Cannabis Institute welcomed Mr. Julapas Kruesophon, President of Golden Triangle Health Company Limited (GTH), Mr. Dan Pathomvanich, Chief Executive Officer of NR Instant Produce Public Company Limited (NRF) and a delegation from Australis Capital Inc. (AUDACIOUS).
GTH and NRF jointly donated 13 million baht to Khon Kaen University to support research and development areas for cannabis cultivation and cannabidiol (CBD) extraction to be used in food and beverages.
Khon Kaen University also had a joint meeting with representatives from AUDACIOUS, including Mr. Hanox Kapadia, Chairman of the Board, Dr. Duke Fu Pharm, Director of Chief Operating Officer and Board Member and Mr. Maximilian Weinberg, Director of International Regulatory Affairs, about the Direction of cooperation in Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) extraction for medical and health uses research .
After that, They visited KKU Cannabis Farm and the cannabis extraction laboratory before returning to Bangkok.
