From laboratory analysis of water and sediment samples by sequential fractionation method.
The extraction of phosphorus in various forms one at a time, namely loosely-bound P, iron-bound P (Fe-P), aluminum-bound P (Al-P), calcium-bound P (Ca-P), organic. P (OP), where the sum of the values loosely-bound P and iron-bound P (Fe-P) is mobile-P, a type of phosphate. That is ready to be food of seaweed At the same time, the sum of mobile-P and some of the organic phosphates is called Phosphorus that may be subsequently applied or bioavailable-P, while aluminum-bound P (Al-P) and calcium-bound P (Ca-P) are in forms that plants cannot use immediately. We found that the mobile-P in the sediment was very high. Which can be said to be Internal Phosphorus loading is a major problem for Bungee. This phenomenon occurs every year.
Highlights of the work Alum is used to fix the problem by adding alum (alum application), which is a long and used method in Europe and America. 100% alum contains approximately 8-10% aluminum. Aluminum is added to the sediment to add a binder or adsorbent to phosphorus. The balance between soluble phosphorus and phosphorus sorption. And increased phosphate retention in the sediment in the form of Al-P to control the phosphorus in the sediment to be released back into the water layer to be a nutrient for the algae again.
From a local experimental study with 3 times the addition of alum in Bueng Ki, it was found that the Bueng Ki water source was restored with a significant decrease in chlorophyll A to the normal nutrient level of the source. Natural water
The results of the study were also published in the Journal of Environmental Management in Q1 and had a high impact value. The publication of A comparison of aluminum dosing methods for reducing sediment phosphorus release in lakes found that
1. This study is the first report of the comparison of aluminum additive methods for the treatment of fresh water eutophagation sources.
2. The amount of aluminum used varies greatly depending on the calculation method and filling technique. Using the in-vitro technique, the calculated values are often exceeded.
3. We have built empirical models and have been validated to replace conventional aluminum quantification experiments.
4.We recommend using a fixed ratio of Al to P according to in-situ binding.
