August 1, 2022 – Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the opening ceremony of the Thailand Research Expo 2022 and bestowed the awards upon the personnel awarded the 2021 National Outstanding Researcher Awards.
Professor Dr. Wanchai Maleewong, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, received the award for the research studies on parasites in the Mekong countries, new epidemics, and re-epidemics focus on medical parasitology research.
Thailand Research Expo 2022 was organized by the National Research Office (NRCT), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESRI) under the concept of “Research for National Development towards stability, prosperity and sustainability” to show the potential of research that is an essential mechanism in helping to solve problems and develop the country. It is a national forum to present more than 700 research and innovation to connect and integrate knowledge for the use and development of the country in terms of academic, policy, social, community, commerce, and industry. The event was the 17th year annual held.
