From the announcement of Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject, 2023 in the field of Computer Science, Khon Kaen University is placed the first with other three universities in Thailand (Top 4).
The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject, 2023 announced the rankings in Computer Science of the universities that have been placed in the world rankings, and Khon Kaen University is one among the top 4 universities in Thailand with the overall scores in the 601-800 world’s ranges. The other three universities are Chulalongkorn University, King Mongkut University of Technology Thonburi, and Mohidol University.
The College of Computing of Khon Kaen University offers the main field in Computer Science. The vision of the college is “An international leading college in advanced computer science”. The goal is to be one of two leading institutions in Thailand and one of 200 institutions in Asia in 2023-2026. The THE rankings this year assessed many indicators including: teaching, research, industry, income, international outlook, and citations. The computer science field of Khon Kaen University scored the second in Thailand in research and teaching. The top in these two indicators in the country is Chulalongkorn University.
It is the pride of the personnel of the College of Computing, KKU and everyone who has joined in creating work outcomes in this field. The College is grateful to Dr. Narongchai Akrasanee, the Chairman of Khon Kaen University; Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University, the members of the University Council; and KKU administrators who see the importance and support the field of Computer Science. The College has answered the current trends in technologies that are significant in the present and the future world.
