Khon Kaen University Presentation of the research on “Production of pellet fuel from filter cake pellets for boilers to change from waste to energy” by Professor Tanakorn Wongwuttanasatian, Ph.D., Director of Center for Alternative Energy Research and Development, Faculty of Engineering Khon Kaen University Participated in organizing research exhibitions and forums in the RUN expo booth (Research university network: RUN) under the theme “Roles of Research towards Net Zero Ambitions”, Group R (Reduction) in the event “National Research Expo 2023 (Thailand Research Expo 2023) 18th time between 7 – 11 August 2023 at Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre CentralWorld, Bangkok

This year, the University Alliance Network for Research Organized an exhibition to showcase research and innovation under the theme “Roles of Research towards Net Zero Ambitions” with leading researchers with expertise related to Net Zero Emissions to present their research results at the research expo. National 2023, more than 19 works. The main topics of the presentations cover research related to the country’s policy towards net zero greenhouse gas emissions. It also includes research that is divided into 3 groups:

  • R (Reduction): Reduction of carbon emissions. It presents research related to converting waste into energy. Turning waste flowers into energy and environmental materials Carbon dioxide capture and storage managing carbon dioxide from agriculture Environmentally friendly battery technology and the development of electric vehicles
  • U (Utilization): The use of carbon. Research papers related to the utilization of bio-based nanomaterials for agriculture and industry were presented through BCG mechanisms, bioreactors for carbon dioxide to energy conversion, and the production of Nanocrystalline Carbon from CO2.
  • N (Neutralization): Going carbon neutral. This means that the amount of carbon released into the atmosphere equals the amount of carbon absorbed back. by presenting research related to mangrove forests, blue carbon Greenhouse gas emissions, and carbon sequestration in rubber
