KKU and NRCT team up to sign MOU with the Khon Kaen Provincial Administrative Organization to control liver fluke infestation and cholangiocarcinoma problem in Khon Kaen Province

On June 24, 2022, Khon Kaen University led by Prof. Monchai Duangjinda, Ph.D., Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies, Dr. Wiparat De Ong, Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand, Dr. Pongsak Tangwanichkapong, President of the Khon Kaen Provincial Administrative Organization, and the Inspector General of the Ministry of Public Health, Health Area 7, National Health Security Office, Region 7 and including participants from all areas. They have agreed to a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and The National Research Office (NRCT) and the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute are working together on the project. Khon Kaen College Work to solve the issues of cholangiocarcinoma and liver fluke. The objective is to foster collaboration, develop and implement a model for solving the liver fluke and cholangiocarcinoma problems, conduct screenings, and establish awareness-raising campaigns for the prevention and suppression of liver fluke and cholangiocarcinoma. liver fluke and bile duct cancer detection encourage the introduction of a cholangiocarcinoma and liver fluke immune-enhancing curriculum in schools driving the development of sewage management technologies to break the liver fluke cycle.
