Background

An establishment of AERD Center in KKU aimed to conduct a renewable energy research and development with excellence in research and development, academic service consultation, taching and learning curriculum, also training and seminars on the power side The structure of the center consists of the following research groups. 1) Alternative energy research groups include research on biomass, solar energy, micro-hydro power, fuel cells, as well as the implementation of results. Research into national policies such as energy consumption policies in the country for higher efficiency. Energy consumption standards Or establishing an energy information and communication database system, etc. 2) Research group of energy technologies and equipments, including energy-saving equipment. Technologies to produce fuels in the form of solids, liquids and gases

Goal & Mission

  • Conduct and manage researches to meet an international standard, focusing on innovation and leadership.
  • Support and develop human resources for being a good researcher and performing a high standard research.
  • Direct and Make policy of social services according to changes of technology every 5 years.
  • Support courses in the University for Alternative Energy Topics.

• Transfer alternative energy researches and technology to community.
