To develop UHT and pasteurized fruit juice beverage products under the brand “Malee” (Branded Business). Tuesday August 3, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. – Khon Kaen University, NR Instant Produce Public Company (NRF) and Golden Triangle Health Co. Ltd. (GTH) signed an MOU for joint research, planting and extracting hemps. Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of KKU signed for Khon Kaen University, Khun Dan Pathomwanit, Chairman of NRF officers and Khun Julaphas Khruasophon, Founder of GTH signed for NRF and GTH, respectively. Executives of the two companies and mass media, totaling over 70 people, attended the ceremony that took place at Sarasin Room, Sirikunakorn Building, Khon Kaen University.
KKU President signs an MOU with Thailand Consortium for Atmospheric Research (TCAR)
July 13, 2021 at 13:00 p.m. – Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with 29 institutions and organizations on the principle of Thailand atmospheric research collaboration in order to found Thailand Consortium for Atmospheric Research, develop new infrastructures to support atmospheric research, collaboratively conduct research and build innovation related to atmospheric research, and carry out other related activities. The signing ceremony was done online.
KKU holds the 3rd Isan Cricket Conference, emphasizing foreign marketing for export and sustainable farmer’s incomes
May 11, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. – The Research Institute of Strategy and Coordination for Northeastern Development of Khon Kaen University held the 3rd Isan Cricket Conference under the subject, “WHAT’S NEXT FUTURE FOOD 2021”. Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University presided over the opening session and conveyed the opening address. The Onsite Conference was attended by 40 participants at the Learning Center Room 1301, Khon Kaen University Library. The conference was also available online via Zoom as well as life broadcast via Facebook: Safe Crickets, KKU-TSRI, in which over 100 people joined.
Faculty of Economics stepping ahead with the U2T Project, from University to Sub-district, with an aim to strengthen the country’s taproots
The spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) has brought problems to the country’s economy, with many people including newly graduates being unemployed. A lot of university students have been affected. Many unemployed people have to move back to their hometown. These, in turn, cause social problems. The national socio-economic restoring policy is thus emphasizing economic revival at the community level, through job building and occupational development so that the people can rely on themselves according to the sufficiency economy philosophy. The government is therefore seeking support from the over 80 public universities in all regions to act as the System Integrator that integrates socio-economic revival process systematically (Area Based System Integrator) at the sub-district level. This is carried out through utilization of existing bodies of knowledge, technologies and innovations and through coordination and cooperation with the provinces, local administrative organizations and other relevant organizations so that the integration of work will upgrade the sub-district socio-economic conditions, leading to clarified goal of poverty mitigation.
